Ages 13 - 17
For a minor to establish a membership with Evergreen Credit Union, they must have an immediate family member who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Androscoggin, Cumberland, Lincoln, Oxford, Sagadahoc, or York counties. Immediate family includes a spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild, as well as stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships.
The immediate relative meeting the field of membership requirements must provide supporting documentation to establish eligibility, such as a recent paystub, a letter from their place of worship, or transcripts or a current class schedule from their school.
A birth certificate is required for the primary account holder. If available, a valid government-issued photo ID should also be provided.
A secondary account holder is required on all minor accounts. While the secondary account holder does not need to be the individual who established the minor's membership eligibility, they must be an eligible relative as defined by one of the qualifying relationship categories listed above. This eligible relative must provide a valid government-issued photo ID.
What is a Share Savings account?
At Evergreen Credit Union, your Primary Share Savings account is your membership account. Open and maintain with $5 or more and you’re ready to take advantage of the full range of Evergreen’s products and services.
Why is it called a "Share Savings" account?
Credit unions use the term “share savings” because they are member-owned cooperatives. Your deposit into a Primary Share Savings at Evergreen Credit Union represents your ownership share of and membership at the credit union.
What documents do I need to open my Primary Share Savings account?

How does a Christmas Club Share account work?
Regular deposits are made throughout the year, whether it’s manually when you have a little extra to set aside or by direct deposit, and then come October your balance will automatically transfer to your Primary Share Savings – just in time for the holiday season!
