An Update From Our President/CEO

3/13/2020 - An update from our President/CEO

As the world continues to be impacted by the global spread of COVID-19 and now that positive cases have shown up in Maine, I want to assure you that Evergreen Credit Union will continue operations and is here to serve your financial needs.  During this rapidly evolving situation, our main priority is the health, safety, and well-being of our staff and members.

We have decided for the safety of our members, Board of Directors and team to move our Annual Meeting scheduled for March 26, 2020 to a closed session that we will broadcast live using Facebook Live. The meeting will start at 6pm and will be followed by a presentation of annual awards to our Business Partners and Lending Partners and will end with our Advocate of the Year.  We will have a question and answer session at the close of the meeting.  You can find the live broadcast starting at 6pm on March 26th, at facebook.com/EvergreenCUmaine.  In addition, you can view our 2019 Annual Report online here. We felt this would be the best approach to our Annual Meeting and safest way to convey information to everyone. If you cannot attend the Facebook Live session, the recording of the meeting will be available on our Facebook page for viewing at your convenience.

As of today, our branches, operational support teams, and remote channels remain open to serve you without interruption.  However, our staff is practicing social distancing and will be using alternative methods of shaking hands. We are also monitoring staff to make sure we are all healthy, so you remain healthy.

Rest assured that we have taken the necessary steps to serve you safely and securely. In addition to meeting your in-branch, online, and mobile banking needs, Evergreen Credit Union is well prepared to help you without interruption in service.  We've enhanced cleaning at our locations and added hand sanitizers to help keep members and the public in good health.

Should you or your family be impacted by COVID-19 and need financial support, we're here to help.  Members of our team are ready to provide you financial guidance and discuss any financial arrangements you may need to help you through issues that may arise.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and evaluate additional measures to support our members and community as needs arise.  Please continue to check your emails from us and visit www.egcu.org and our social media profiles (in footer below) for regular updates.  For additional information about COVID-19, you can find the latest report from the CDC or the Maine CDC page.

Thank you for your patience and trust in Evergreen Credit Union.  Please know we are thinking of you and your families and will support you through these times.

Sincerely,
Jason
