NAPLES, ME – Evergreen CU raised $2,800 to purchase Christmas gifts for 11 community members in Casco and Naples.

Evergreen’s Naples branch staff partnered with local charities and nursing homes in Casco and Naples to coordinate adopting anonymous local families and what to purchase for them for the holidays.

Evergreen members and staff raised money to purchase presents and facilitate an exciting Christmas Day. “It makes our hearts so happy when we see all we do to help brighten local families during the holidays,” said Karen Day, Assistant Branch Manager at the Evergreen’s Naples location.

Evergreen CU hosts events year-round where profits are donated to the communities they serve. The organization held a disc golf scramble in September where they raised over $19,000 for the Maine Credit Unions Campaign for Ending Hunger. “We wouldn’t be where we are without the communities we serve,” said Jason Lindstrom, President/CEO of Evergreen. “Our commitment to community service is so strong because giving back is such a huge part of Evergreen’s foundation as a credit union.”
